The biological, geographical, ethnic and cultural diversity on our planet is breathtaking despite the very serious threats it is facing. Human overpopulation causing resource depletion maybe the major threat of all. Other threats like environmental degradation including deforestation, rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, pollution, etc., global warming/climate change, habitat fragmentation and loss for animals, degradation of cultural and ethnic diversity as a consequence of globalization could be looked at as a consequence of the first.
I like to capture this diversity which I most often find beautiful, in other cases simply surprising, sometimes strange or even repulsive but always evocative/inspiring in a way.
